The snow has returned in the districts of Diber, Bulqize, Kukes and
Elbasan, and even in the Albanian capital for a few minutes. In the
northern and southeastern regions, the snowfalls were very intensive and
making colder temperatures and blocking many roads.
According to the Civil Emergency Headquarter data, the snow has blocked the national roads once again, which were opened only yesterday. The authorities in Diber and Bulqize are working for opening the roads, while the residents of Martanesh, Ostren and Trebisht are seeking help, since their food reserves have ended and there are more health emergencies. The Situation in Diber is getting worse, after the temperatures fell to -16°C.

Hundreds of citizens are isolated among the snow, the thickness of which goes to three meters.
The heads of the communes appeal for food reserves. In Mirdite, Selita, Fan and the surrounding villages have been isolated, while other axes can be crossed partially and with tire chains. Teaching has been interrupted since February 1st. In Rreshen, the minimal temperature on Wednesday was minus 7 degrees.
