Snow blocks national roads

The snowfalls have blocked most of the streets throughout the country, mainly in north and northeast Albania.
Police has not allowed vehicles to drive in some national roads without tire chains, while many others have been completely blocked.
The communes with most of the roads blocked are Permet, Skrapar, Kolonje, Kukes, Dibra, Librazhd, Tropoje and Dukagjin.
The General Directory of Roads says that at the Milot-Kalimash road, the vehicles are driving only with tire chains. The road is one way only for small vehicles at the entrance of the tunnel. The circulation at Fushe Dukagjin – Morine is made in four lanes.
The Road Directory is working for opening the blocked roads, while many of the opened ones risk being closed again during the night.
