The vice leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, Luan Rama,
declared that his party has not been registered for the Kavaja local
elections.

Luan Rama clarified that the SMI cannot be part of a process that has been prepared unilaterally by the Socialist Party.

Rama said that the SMI was against the candidacy of Elvis Rroshi in Kavaja, and the Socialist Party didn’t consult them for this candidacy, and didn’t treat them as a partner.

“Partners consult themselves, talk and decide together”, Rama said, adding that Kavaja is a matter that belongs to the Socialist Party only.

For the SMI, he said, it is important to hold free and fair elections. For this it is important to offer maximal commitment.

Rama answered to the accusations coming from the Socialists, the main party of the ruling coalition.

“We don’t refer to what has been declared by the government or Saimir Tahiri. Six months ago Tahiri said that a military intervention for cannabis was not necessary. Yesterday he said that the government will include the army too”, Luan Rama declared.
