SMI: No arrogant majorities

The Socialist Movement for Integration convention that will be held in
April is expected to come out with important decisions for the elections
of June 23rd. Vice leader Petrit Vasili says that this is evidence of
democracy inside this political force.

“Different from what the Albanian politics has done so far, which makes compromises of the last minute, the Convention will produce logical analyses. The SMI leader and all members will bring their arguments for what we need to improve. This logic will produce the profile of our electoral tactics. We will follow an electoral tactics that brings a solution, and not a last minute trick”, Vasili declared.

SMI has a clear position on that point, the necessity to not allow the creation of arrogant majorities.

“We have spoken a lot about the limitation of totalitarian practices and political monopolies that have shown nothing positive and effective. I believe that the example of this coalition is good, with the SMI reducing the tensions in many situations and creating dialogue and other elements that have made way to the processes. This shows that Albania needs mutual balances and whoever that serves to absolute dominations would turn Albania into reminiscences in which Albania is divided and has no intentions to turn back”,  Vasili declared.

According to Petrit Vasili, SMI will continue its efforts to flatten the conflicts between the two political parties, as an effort to centralize their efforts in the necessary reforms for the country.

“We have a very special profile, thanks to which Albania knows SMi and its courage. SMI is more persistent in reinforcing this profile, this identity”, Vasili declared.
