Italian police reports have encouraged the opposition parties to unite
and ask the Albanian Prime Minister to resign, accusing him of being
involved with the drug traffic.
Monika Kryemadhi, leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, guest on tonight’s Top Story, appeared this Wednesday with the opposition leader, Lulzim Basha, in a joint press release.
But why didn’t the SMI leave the coalition with the Socialist Party during the past four years?
“Personally, I was against the coalition right after Manjani, former Minister of Justice, declared that the army was helping with cannabis. The SMI took that stance for the sake of the judiciary reform, which was the focus of the Albanian politics. Any move would be considered as a lack of desire to continue with the judiciary reform”, the SMI leader declared.
According to Kryemadhi, “Habilaj” is just a drop on a ocean of scandals.
“This is turning into a national and regional danger”, declared the leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, former ally of Edi Rama’s government, now in opposition.
