The Socialist Movement for Integration leader, Ilir Meta, declared that
his party will be in coalition with any political force that gives
progressive and cooperative messages. But is there any party that Meta
excludes categorically from coalition?
“For us, the existence of the SMI is not necessarily related with our existence in government, because we were created as an opposition force that distanced itself from the government of that time. For us it is more important to serve to the stability of our country in a constructive climate, and accelerate the reforms that bring to Albania the EU candidate status, and also that improve the economic situation of our country. Being a partisan of a positive politics, I wouldn’t want to exclude someone, but I want to positively say that we will offer cooperation with any political force that will give progressive and constructive messages”, Meta declared on Top Channel.
“The idea of a third pole is the idea of not having a majority from one single political force, since experience has shown that such majorities are arrogant. It is important to have a balance for every majority in the future, which will be the basis of a further cooperation in Parliament”, Meta declared.
