Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future Although the first hours of the day are supposed the be the rush hour,
the wholesale market in Kombinat was empty and the only ones that
visited it were the Socialist leader, Edi Rama, the Socialist MP Saimir
Tahiri and the secretary for the SP Program, Ilir Beqja, together with
the head of Municipal Unit no.6.
Small business is on the brink of bankruptcy, according to the merchants, and most of them confirm that they are about to close their businesses due to the low buying power and the drastic increase of prices.
But despite the increased prices and the fall of the buying power, the merchants say that their burden is deepened by unjust taxes and fines.
The opposition leader declared that they will remove taxes of small businesses, which are the only economic resources for thousands of Albanian families.
“SP will implement zero taxes for small business, a righteous tax system and not a flat tax”, Rama told the merchants.
“We will remove the tax for the small business and we will make a series of changes. We will remove the corruption tax and the tax of delays. We will set a justice system that will allow whoever profits more to pay more, and who profits less will pay less”, Rama declared.
