Slovakia passed over the OSCE leadership today to Albania. The Albanian mission in Vienna says that the ceremony was held at the premises of this organization.
The acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, declared on Facebook that this moment marks the biggest success in Albania’s multilateral diplomacy, since the NATO accession.
For one year, Albania will lead world’s biggest security organization, covering the entire area from Vancouver to Vladivostok.
“Albania has the full capacity to address the priorities of its leadership efficiently, and for fulfilling responsibly its obligations towards the participating countries”, Cakaj declared.
