The new square of Tirana was inaugurated today.
Exactly 100 years from the creation of the Skenderbej Square, the symbolic gathering place of Albanians recieved a new look.
Today was the inauguration of tthe newly built square, after 10 months of work. The Tirana municipality organized a festival today, while thosands gathered to watch Albanian and Arberesh singers performing.
The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, thanked everyone who contributed for the construction, and revealed that the Municipality has received an invitation to present the square at the Chicago bienale.
The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, aaid that this is the square of all Albanians, of the little America after the 90’s, completely tied to democracy.
