The weapons of Albania’s national hero, Skanderbeg, have arrived today
to the National Museum of History, in Tirana, under very high security
measures.

The personal objects of our national hero arrived from the Durres Port and travelled for 24 hours. The helmet and two swords, together with engravings which show the data of our national hero, will stay packed until they will be adapted to the new temperatures. The director of the National Museum, Luan Malltezi, says that the objects will be exposed at the Middle Age Pavilion.

“The exhibition will open at Skanderbeg’s Room, because it’s the most adequate place. The objects are closed and carefully placed by the specialists”, Malltezi declared.

The exhibition will stay open for 45 days after November 22nd, under high security conditions, with a special camera network that is placed in the area. The objects of Skanderbeg were taken by the Museum of Vienna in 1588.
