The Union of Journalists continued the tradition of the awards for the
most contributing journalists. The “Career” award was given to the
writer and publicist Dritero Agolli.
“A unique personality of journalism, with a major contribution in the Albanian press for decades”, the motivation for the award said, which was handed over to the niece of the writer by Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta.
The Director of Top Channel’s investigative program “Fiks Fare”, Filip Cakulli, was rewarded with the “Career” Award, with the motivation:
“A strong personality in the Albanian journalism for decades. The most renowned representative of the journalistic courage in the Albanian post-communist transition period, and the most courageous director of the most successful investigative program in the last 10 years, ‘Fiks Fare’”, as read by the Head of the Journalist Union, Aleksander Cipa.
The Union of Journalists also gave the “Career” award to Tefta Radi, an excellent speaker in the Albanian public television.
The award “Vangjush Gambeta”, for the journalists of economy, was given also to Albanian journalists from Kosovo and Macedonia.
