The “Shqiponja” special forces took Emiliano Shullazi, Gilmando Dani and
Blerim Shullazi to court today, for their trial session, under very
high security.
The Court decided to leave the entire gang in prison until trial. The Prosecution said he is suspected of extortion, destruction of private property with explosives, threats against the candidate for rector, Mynyr Koni. According to Prosecutors Elizabeta Imeri and Eneid Nakuci, there is information that he has taken other properties from businessmen through extortion.
Shullazi’s defense lawyers denied the accusations, while the Prosecution requested footage from security cameras near the Train Station, where Koni might have been threatened.
The suspects were also left in prison with the argument there is the risk they might leave the country. To this argument, Gilmando Dani has replied by saying that he wouldn’t leave since he handed himself over to the police. The police is currently looking for citizen Jani Zaka, a key person in this process, although his address is not yet known, since he has left the country.
