Shkoder, Liberation commemorated with protests

A group of young people protested at the Martyr’s Cemetery in Shkoder,
for the undignified way in which the heroes of this war are being
treated.
The Shkoder Municipality has used this area for burning the city’s wastes, and this is the same place where they put the 5 Heroes of Vig, which were removed from one of the city’s main squares.
The young people ran with flags to the memorial of the martyrs who died on 2 April 1990.
The martyrs were also commemorated in Durres.
Veterans, Socialis MPs, representatives from the local administration, SP and SMI leaders and many Durres citizens paid homage to the people who died in the war of 1944, and placed wreaths at the Mausoleum of Martyrs.
In Korce, 29 Nëntori brought together the Socialist and the SMI leaders.
During the homage at the Martyrs’ Cemetery, the representatives made all honors to the martyrs of this city. The Socialists from SP and SMI were there at the same time, and held in silence the honoring ceremony, together with the veterans of the National Liberation Army.
