Shkoder lake dangers

Due to the heavy rains in the past days, the Shkoder Lake level has
increased and water has covered some of Shiroka, a road in an area
called “Peshkimi”, and several bars near the site.
Although the roads are covered, the water is shallow and there are no problems for vehicles.
The level of the Buna River has also increased, but has not flooded the “Pedonale” road. Water has approached several houses in the suburbs.
The lake level rose after the last heavy rains which grew the flow of Drin and Buna rivers, both of which are discharged in the Shkoder Lake, without counting the rivers of Montenegro.
The Shkoder Lake level has flooded several areas within the city for many years.
