The Head of the “Force of Law” unit, Artan Shkembi, is the first police officer who will run for Director of the National Bureau of Investigation.
Contacted by Top Channel, Shkembi admitted that he is preparing the documentation to become part of the Special Forces that will investigate corruption and organized crime.
The Chief of Anti-Terror, Gledis Nano, is also one of the persons who might join the race.
However, he didn’t confirm anything when contacted by Top Channel.
The Director of the Special Prosecution Against Corruption announced this message on the institution’s website.
“We want to choose a person with integrity, professional experience and a series of abilities to lead and inspire a group of 60 investigators.
“I appeal to everyone who is interested and who meets the criteria to apply for this position.
“In order for SPAK to be successful, we need the most professional and most motivated Director.
