Shiu, SP: Show us the partners’ recommendations

21/11/2012 00:00

The opposition has reserves regarding the draft-law for the Military
Intelligence Service. They suspect that the strategic NATO partners have
not given the recommendations that the Ministry of Defence has written
in the draft-law. This is reinforced by the fact that their advices are
considered classified information that cannot be given to the
opposition.

“This is not the first time. The Ministry of Defence has closed all doors and is violating the law, together with the majority. We want to see the disposition, as we did in 2003. It had all comments that arrived from CIA and other partners”, declared Ilir Gjoni, Vice Chairman of the Commission.

The draft-law for the MIS passed to the in principle from the Security Commission, although the opposition demands more changes. The Socialist MPs asked Minister Imami to give explanations.
