Part of the draft-amends of the Constitution as part of the justice
reform were criticized by the Prosecutors of Serious Crimes.

Official sources said for Top Channel that a representation of these Prosecutors have handed over their suggestions at the Justice Reform Commission, about how should they be treated at the Constitutional draft.

The draft foresees the merging of the Prosecution of Serious Crimes after the creation of the Soecial Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime, part of which will be the National Bureau of Investigation.

Prosecutors say that the project, however, does not foresee what will happen with them, and that the Prosecutors will not be treated equally to the judges of the Court of Serious Crimes.

The final draft that is planned by the international experts gives protection to these judges, even if they don’t pass the asset verification test. This category of judges is transferred in other courts, while for the Prosecutors of Serious Crimes the draft does not foresee anything.

There are 20 Prosecutors at the Court of Serious Crimes, who asked the reform commission to at leasst treat judges equally.

The Prosecutors remind the Reform Commission that during the past 10 years they have brought to justice dozens of very dangerous people, part of the organized crime, drug traffic and other terror groups.
