The roads of Northern Kosovo will be free of roadblocks on Thursday at 09:00, only for KFOR.

The parallel structures of the three northern communes, after the meeting held this Wednesday, decided to respect the appeal of the Serbian President, Boris Tadic, as reported by the Serbian news agency “Tanjug”.

The decision of the Assembly of Northern Mitrovica Communes says that they will respect the decision of the Serbian President and will guarantee a normal supply of KFOR units, underlining that they will allow the KFOR troops to circulate, but based on their plan.

The announcement says that the implementation of the plan will start on Thursday, at 09:00, but it says that only one direction of the road will be freed.

The meeting in Zvecan, between KFOR, EULEX and the Serbian parallel structures ended without any declaration by the KFOR and EULEX representatives, while the KFOR commander had declared that this meeting was unnecessary.

In the recent day, the NATO mission repeated that they would not accept a unilateral solution, while the Mitrovica Serbs had disagreed with the recommendation of the Serbian President.

This left the roadblocks on the roads, regardless the KFOR operations for removing them.
