One day ago, dozens of employees from the Energetic Company “Elektrokosmet” in northern Mitrovica protested at the bridge over Iber River against the extension of the Kosovo government authority in the entire territory of Kosovo.
In an interview for Top-Channel, the secretary of the Serbian Ministry for Kosovo, Oliver Ivanovic, warned the Kosovo Prime Minister, Hashim Thaci to not repeat decisions like that of July 25th, because the Serbian reaction would be the same. Ivanovic called the Serbian representatives at the Kosovo government as instruments of the Kosovo Prime Minister.
EULEX to return Customs agents in N. Kosovo
The EULEX mission is discussing the possibility of returning Customs agents in Northern Kosovo border checkpoints.
The news comes from the spokesperson of the EU Mission for law and order, Nicolas Hauton.
“We are cooperating with Kosovo institutions to take under control the two border checkpoints. The concrete details are being reviewed”, Hauton declared.
The spokesperson made a declaration after a meeting with the Kosovo Prime Minister, Hashim Thaci, saying that on September will start the implementation of the agreement for Kosovo Stamps with Serbia.
Prime Minister Thaçi announced that the border checkpoints 1 and 31 will have Kosovo agents and leaders.
