A vehicle full of explosives has been seized by the Kosovo Police in Prishtina, near the US Embassy.

The “Renault Clio” with Belgrade plates and the explosive was seized by the Police, while the driver, a citizen from Serbia, was arrested by the authorities.

Police say that they cannot relate the vehicle yet to any planned terrorist attack against the embassies.

Authorities say that its plan might have been to attack the hotel that was visited by the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama.

Police say that the explosive could be triggered remotely, and it was divided in 10 units.

The vehicle had entered Kosovo from Serbia through Northern Mitrovica.
