Kujtim Sadriu is candidate of the Liberal-Democratic Party of Cedomir
Jovanovic. He says that his party promises economic development and
revealing the fate of the disappeared. It wasn’t reasonable for him to
focus on an Albanian party, since he thinks that the contribution might
be bigger this way.
“We are doing this by keeping in mind that the Albanian parties at the Presheva Valley don’t have unity, and don’t have the tendency to work for civil interests, but work only for their personal and partial interests”, declared Kujtim Sadriu, candidate from the Liberal-Democratic Party.
The Presheva Albanians have visited Tirana, Prishtina and Belgrade, and the delegation has always been bigger. Tirana and Prishtina have appealed for unanimity. Unofficial sources say that the Albanian Foreign Minister has been surprised by seeing a huge number of delegates in Tirana. The Presheva citizens don’t know how many parties do Albanians have, being such a small population.
“There are too many parties here, seven or eight, and in elections two or three others are added. These are too many parties for the population that we have. Four can contribute for the population and the vital problems that we have at the valley. I think that Presheva doesn’t need too many political parties”, they say.
Valon Arifi, civil society activist, says that leaders don’t trust each other.
“The participation of 11 members in the delegation of the Unity Group, shows mistrust among the members of that group, keeping in mind that they had a bigger participation than the Kosovo Delegation in Ramboulliet”, Valon Arifi declared.
Albanians need to decide for a unique representation in the Serbian elections, but even in the first meetings, their stances have been different.
