Sequi: The conditions can be fulfilled

The EU Ambassador to Tirana, Ettore Sequi, met with the Socialist
Movement for Integration Party leader, Ilir Meta, from where he
underlined that the dialogue and the cooperation between the political
forces will give Albania the chance to take the next step in December.
“The fulfilment of the reforms that are indispensable so that the council accepts the recommendation of the European Commission for the EU status for Albania are reachable. The reform is reachable. It is necessary to work based on these achievements that are made known in the progress report of the European Commission. This must start with the passing and implementation of the important reforms, so that on December we can give to the member countries convincing arguments, and this is achievable through good will, compromise and dialogue”, Sequi declared.
Ilir Meta is on the same line, asking cooperation between all political actors in order to fulfil the remaining requests.
“We still have some issues that after being fulfilled will push forward this important project of Albania and the European Union, for the final EU candidate status and for opening the negotiations for the EU membership of Albania, which is the main goal of all Albanians and all political forces, together with the SMI”, Meta declared.
