The Ambassador of the European Union to Tirana, Ettore Sequi, greeted
the consensus reached between the two parties for creating the ad-hoc
commission for the Electoral Reform and for passing two codes that
needed qualified majority.
“The road towards the EU is characterized by cooperation, and consensus is a road that is based on dialogue”, Sequi declared.
The Ambassador declared that the European integration has been and remains a national goal.
Earlier the day, ambassador Eugen Wollfarth valued the Parliament voting of this Thursday and urged the members of the Electoral Reform Commission to guarantee transparency.
“The parties should make the Electoral Code amends according to the ODIHR’s recommendations”, Wollfarth declared.
