Sequi: Elections, Albania’s challenge

While everyone is expecting the final verdict, EU ambassador, Ettore Sequi, declared that the May 8th local elections remain one of of Albania’s most important challenges for showing EU the maturity of their politics and democracy.

The European diplomat underlined that the Election Process must be concluded in full accordance with the laws.

“The European Union has constantly repeated the importance of this entire process. This process is still open. We are waiting it to conclude in the best possible way, independent and in full accordance with the Albanian laws. This process is a very important issue, because based on that, the European Union will evaluate the political and democratic maturity of Albania”, said ambassador Sequi.

The EU ambassador gave these comments during an activity for June 1st.
