More than 4 months after the serious event that shocked the public opinion where mother and daughter sacrificed themselves in their home, surviving sister Blerta Josifi, told on Top Channel about the tragedy where her mother and sister, Zhaneta and Anisa lost their lives.
In the interview for “Albania Live”, Blerta confessed that they did not tell that Anisa had passed away because they were afraid that they would be blamed for her death. Blerta also said that they believed until the last moment that she would return to them.
“We believed until the end that she could come back to us. In May we decided not to go out to buy food, in June we started fasting as a prayer for the Lord to hear us, because Anisa also had a lot of pain and suffering”, Blerta confessed.
We recall that on July 2, a mother and daughter, Anisa and Zhaneta Josifi were found dead in an apartment in the ‘Kombinat’ area, while the only survivor was the other daughter Blerta Josifi. The victims had lost their lives after days weeks food, with the belief of being resurrected.
Anisa had passed away 15 months ago, while her body was taken care of by her sister and mother so as to not decompose, by painting her with oil and by placing a fan to remove the heavy smell.
The daughters mother, Zhaneta Josifi had died from malnutrition only 2 days before the tragedy was discovered.
