Self-Determination doesn’t stop

The Kosovo Police officials met the Self-Determination Movement leaders
this Thursday, after the latter declared in a press conference that the
Kosovo Police had allowed them to gather in the border checkpoints,
after they were guaranteed that the protests would be peaceful and
without roadblocks.

The Self-Determination Movement leaders promised to block only the Serbian goods, not those that come from Presheva or those that are transitory in the Kosovo-Serbia border. According to the Self-Determination Movement, this protest will be held for implementing the Kosovo’s Parliament motion for political and economic reciprocity with Serbia.

In the meantime, other leaders of the Self-Determination Movement held a meeting at the Palace of Youth, where they declared that the government can be overthrown by free vote, but that they are ready for a popular uprising, because this government has its roads closed.

“The Prime Minister tried intimidation by saying that people could be killed. We say to the Prime Minister that Geddafi killed citizens, but now he is not killing anymore”, Konjufca declared.

Albin Kurti underlined that the government respects the laws in a selective way. This shows that Kosovo is not a Parliamentary Republic, but a Government Republic. According to him, Serbia has occupied Kosovo economically and that it is not by chance that the only politician, who is an MP and is regularly visited by the Prime Minister, is the Minister of Economic Development, Ramiz Kelmendi, whose signature imports goods from Serbia.

On the other hand, the Kosovo Police declared that they will not allow the free movement to be blocked, even for the Serbian goods. The Assistant Director declared that the Kosovo Police will implement the Constitution.

During a phone conversation for Top Channel, Beqaj declared that the Police will notify the Self-Determination Movement to what point they can extend their protest. He added that they did not agree to allow the protesters gather at Merdare and Dheu i Bardhe border checkpoints.
