
Yesterday was held the first meeting of the National Committee of
Aviation Security, led by the director of the Civil Aviation, Ervin
Mazniku.
Present in this meeting were the heads of security institutions and those of public order, such as the Albanian Intelligence Service, the State Police, Customs and Post Office authorities.
According to “Shqip” newspaper, the discussion focused on the creation of the National Committee of Civil Aviation Security, its duties and responsibilities.
The General Director of the Civil Aviation, Ervin Mazniku, explained that the creation of this committee aims to increase the security level at airports, which could prevent all possible threats or terrorist attacks.
The Albanian airports will undergo all security tests, and according to the European Legislation for Security there was created the Committee of Civil Aviation Security.
In the first meeting of the Committee of Civil Aviation Security was presented the necessary legislation and the possibility of coordinating the work with all other institutions for this goal. The Committee was created with a decision of the Council of Ministers, on 2 February 2011.
