Helidon Bendo, Vice Director of the Albanian Secret Service, reported at the Parliamentary Commission of Security behind closed doors.
The MPs have asked him about the Russian influence and suspicions about Russian funding. Top Channel has learned that the Secret Service has information that the Russian intelligence services have tendencies to influence the Albanian public administration, but it remains unknown the level they have affected it.
Bendo’s declaration leaves to be understood that the Russian Secret Services have tried to recruit members of the Albanian public administration.
The report comes in a time when the Albanian Foreign Ministry warned the Russian embassy in Tirana, the military attaché and the First Secretary, must leave the country.
