Story of people, investigation and video documentaries realized by young
people and students who bring a new and original view, not only for the
idea, but also for the realization.
The Soros foundation, in cooperation with the Dritan Hoxha foundation, made possible the second edition of “Rrathe” (Circles).
Andi Dobrushi: There was an extraordinary diversity. There are 49 stories, 49 personal lives, 49 individuals of the Albanian life that bring something new, different from the daily life. I want to quote my friend and close friend, Fatos Baxhaku: “Big news and small news, we’re part of the small news”.
The director of “Rrathe”, Fatos Baxhaku, declared that the spirit and the energies brought by these young people made it beautiful, but even more energetic was working with them.
“I am honored to have contributed with this project that gives life to the free minds. I would wish to be as good as them, from the first to the last one. Not only the winners, but because they have put their mind in action, have brought another point of view, new technologies and new oxygen”, declared Fatos Baxhaku.
The Soros Foundation, in cooperation with the Dritan Hoxha Foundation, brought for the second time “Rrathe”, where 25 documentaries were shown and a professional jury chose winners.
Vjollca Dako, President of the Dritan Hoxha Foundation: “Based on this cooperation, I have the honor to hand over a special award for one of the works that was considered as the best. For a novelty in the production of documentaries, for a genial usage of technology and communication today, and for treating wisely one of the most tangible topics of the Albanian society today, the Special Award of the Dritan Hoxha Foundation goes to Merimanga, a documentary organized by Emilio Leka.
