Sea oil sale

According to Brace, a government decision approves oil researches between the Albanian government and an Israeli company registered in Cyprus, for a 5000 square miles area in the sea, which was given as territory and would be privatized with the Albpetrol.

“After Albpetrol, the Albanian government is interfering and authorizing Albpetrol to sign an agreement for the presumed resources of List C, and give them to another company, without competition, without any transparency”, Brace declared.

Brace added that the moment chosen by the government to sign the agreement, brings even more suspicions for a non-transparent affair.

“The Albanians were too occupied with the President, but now they have to open the eyes once again and understand that the biggest asset in their land and sea is being given away to fill the pockets of these government officials, who are giving the concessions to their clients, without competition and without taking in consideration the direct interests of the Albanian citizens”, Brace declared.

According to him, the agreement with the Emanuel Adriatic Energy Company, with its headquarters in Israel, but registered in Cyprus, is the next theft that the government officials are making to the biggest asset of our country, for favoring their clients.

“The Albanian Citizens are in crisis, with very difficult economic conditions, and they still are unable to profit from the agreements made by Sali Berisha’s government, who is releasing many of them in a row for their own interests”, Brace declared.

The 5070 square meter area used to be part of the Albpetrol privatization, included in the List C. But a sudden decision of the government, while seven companies have withdrawn the documents for Albpetrol’s privatization, the government has given this area to the Israeli-Cypriot company.
