The heavy traffic of Albanian passengers and vehicles at the Bari
Customs, Italy, who return to their country for the summer holidays, has
not slowed down the activity of the police authorities.
The authorities found inspected a bus at the “Adriatica” ferry and discovered 600 viles of Vitadox, a natural medicament produced from the venom of a scorpion which is used for curing some tumors. This medicament is forbidden in Italy and most of the European countries, but is sold freely in Albania, imported from Cuba, where it is produced.
According to the official web page of Pharmatrix, the price in Albania goes from 145 EUR for 30 mg. This heist was greeted from Luigi d’Ambrosio Lettieri, the secretary of the Health Commission at the Italian Senate. He reminded that there have been no request for allowing this medicament in Italy and there are no scientific studies to prove its efficiency.
However, this doesn’t stop the desperate people who need it for hope to go and buy it in Albania.
