There’s a risk that the institutional conflicts between the police and
the court may cause a failure of a criminal case, and let free a man
charged with raping his own daughter. This was announced during a court
session by the case’s judge, Gerd Hoxha.
Hoxha says that the criminal case against Fatos Gurakuqi has failed for the past two sessions, because the scientific police refuses to bring the DNA report, claiming that the Court has not paid the 60.000 ALL fee.
In these conditions, Judge Hoxha has reminded the police that the DNA request was made by the court, not by the parties.
“All criminal procedures are paid by the government, except for the ones requested by the parties”, Hoxha declared.
The Judge warned that this case may be repeated. That’s why he made aware the Chief of State Police and the Interior Minister.
