The helmet and sword of the Albanian national hero, Scanderbeg, will be
displayed this November at the Historical Museum in Tirana. But the
weapons that come from Austria need some maintenance and security
conditions in Albania.
For this reason, a group of experts arrived from Vienna to check the Tirana Museum conditions.
“We came here to see the conditions where the objects will be displayed. Everything is OK. We can create here the appropriate environment for their display, and for this we will bring a special showcase from Vienna, in order to adopt with the climate conditions in Albania.
We think that the relics could stay in Albania for three months, but if the display would be a success, it could stay even for six months”, Beaufor Christian from the Vienna Historical Art Museum declared.
A portrait of Scanderbeg will also travel to Tirana for being part of the exhibition that will open in November, an original painting of the 16th century.
