After the scandal with the reimbursement of medicaments, the Director
General of the Compulsory Health Care Insurance Fund, Astrit Beci, has
resigned from his duty.
Beci declared that it is up to the Prosecution to go to the end of these investigations. He added that due to the secrecy, he has chosen to not give any public declaration during this time.
By order of the Prosecution, Pjerin Xhuvani, Director of the Regional Fund for the Reimbursement of Medicaments was arrested last week.
Xhuvani is under investigation together with seven other persons who are accused of causing a 56 million ALL damage.
