Saranda, public beaches are open

500 sun beds cover the public area of these peaches, and the price for each place goes to 200 ALL. Mayor Stefan Cipa says that the Municipality has 10 employees for this service, including the coastal guards and several vehicles for the beach cleaning and administration.

The public beach umbrellas differ from the private ones from the color, the logo and the higher frequentation.

Beachgoers say that this service was needed, since it offers a competing price and it allows people who own their own umbrellas to sit wherever they want.

The Municipality aims to increase the revenues up to four times by refreshing the agreements with private subjects that use the beach space in front of the hotels. The revenues will be used for widening the beach system even more for the next season.
