Ruci: “The majority is ready for thorough, not selective investigation”

The Head of the Socialist Parliament, Gramoz Ruci, explained the
position of the Socialist Party regarding the CEZ affair. Ruci says that
the majority is in favor of the investigation, as long as it is
all-icnlusive and not selective.
“Albania paid a very high cost for your privatization of CEZ, which always opposed. Time proved we were right. This case needs a thorough investigation not only of this company, but also for the nine others that were spread throughout our country to collect these debts, half of which they would put in their pockets. This is stealing with a government order”, Ruci declared.
As for the request for international investigation, Ruci said that our country has its own Constitution, Criminal Code and laws passed by the political class.
“What’s this mistrust of the Albanian politics to its own institutions, its own Constitution and laws? Who made this Constitution? We did! We passed the laws. I know there are some corrupted judges and prosecutors. Everyone knows that. They are the reason we have agreed to realzie a judiciary reform. How can we make up a law for international investigation? In that case, let’s not let them investigate only CEZ, but also Gerdec, January 21st, the Nation’s Road, and even others. If you agree for this, I will convince the Parliament Members to change the necessary articles of the Constitution”, Ruci declared.
He warned that the SP will vote against the request for an accelerated procedure, which is a violation of the Parliament’s regulation.
