Prime Minister Edi Rama and Minister of Health Manastirliu visited today the Infectious Diseases Hospital meeting doctors and nurses on the front line of the battle with COVID19 virus.
In his speech, the Prime Minister thanked the white shirts for their tireless work saying that despite the continuing of the epidemic the closure and isolation is not a solution or a continuous option. Rama says that the school reopening is a great challenge as it is not known how long the virus will last.
The Prime Minister adds that there will be a significant salary increase for doctors and nurses, part of the new budget.
The Prime Minister said that the government has made a reservation for the anti-COVID vaccine. “We can not choose closure and isolation as a continuous option. We have taken measures to increase vaccination capacities to alleviate the seasonal flu because a more vulnerable body gets the strongest stroke and is more at risk from the coronavirus, we have established a substantial fund for the free vaccination”, he added.
