Rights Albanians don’t know they have

Are we informed about our rights, if we are taken under police custody,
if we are stopped by the traffic police or if our residences are
inspected by investigators?

“Lawyer of yourself” is a book that contains information that many Albanians don’t know, starting from the fact that a traffic police officer cannot stop a vehicle just for checking the documents, and that no one can inspect the house of a suspect during the night.

Lawyer Ndue Pjetra, who faced justice for the unjust arrest of Nexhat Mulaj, who was held in prison from crimes that Viktor Gushi had committed, declared on the book that the citizens should inform themselves and file lawsuits at court for damages.

The lawyer brings histories of damages caused by authorities against the former Prime Minister, Fatos Nano, and by searching the so called “Yellow House” on account of the International Court of Hague, which should end up in court, since it caused moral damage to residents.

The book also informs the citizens where to address if they see that their rights are violated.
