The Kosovo Interior Minister, Bajram Rexhepi, continues to criticize KFOR for not removing the Mitrovica Roadblocks.
Rexhepi says that General Erhard Drews doesn’t have to take these critics personally, but he could have made more for Northern Kosovo.
Although many of the roadblocks have been removed, Rexhepi mentions the one over the Iber River, which according to him can be removed within two hours.
General Drews visited Mitrovica yesterday and declared that the roadblock on the bridge is a roadblock of shame, because it symbolizes the separation of a city that according to him is not divided.
He added that that roadblock is a powerful symbol and such symbols should not be removed with force.
According to Rexhepi, the logic of those who have placed that roadblock doesn’t change much even if it is not removed, and for this, reasonable actions are needed.
