The Minister of Defense, Mimi Kodheli, declared that there will be a
reform within the Armed Forces, and that she received approval from
strategic allies.
By arguing against the declaration of President Nishani, who said that there can be no reforms in the Armed Forces without consulting with the allies and Parliament, Kodheli declared that the document for reviewing the defense strategy was made under the assistance of the European Union and United States allies one year ago.
“We have consulted the allies, and the Document for Reviewing the Defense Strategy was made under their two-year assistance, especially with that of the United States of America. The Parliament has been consulted when this document came out of the Armed Forces one year ago, when the Security Commission was not allowed in the Ministry of Defense. However, we have consulted for this the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Defense Commission”, Kodheli declared.
