51 Parliament Members of the majority signed a request for discharging
Zana Xhuka, head of the High Inspectorate of Declaration and Audit of
Assets.
The request will be discussed next Tuesday at the Parliamentary Commission of Laws, where Xhuka is also invited.
The request is based on a report that was made several weeks ago, which said that Zana Xhuka’s appointment was not based on the law.
The report also underlined the failure of High Inspectorate of Declaration and Audit of Assets to function, since the procedure for auditing the asset declarations of high rank officials has not been done for more than one year. The Democratic Party opposed this decision and used it as one of the conditions for cooperating with the majority.
