The Regional Center for IT innovation and research is part of a network supported by the World Economic Forum, which will be established in Tirana.
The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, was today in Switzerland, where he attended the meeting organized by the World Economic Forum, called “Strategic Dialogue for Western Balkans”.
Rama said in a press release how the decision would affect Albania and the region.
“I am pleased to inform you that the fourth center of the so-called fourth industrial revolution will be in Tirana. The regional center will play as a reference point for IT innovation and research, as part of the important network supported by the World Economic Forum in San Francisco and other countries. It will be an added value, a process in which Albania and the region are a part of, the process of digitalization and innovation”, Rama said.
The strategic dialogue for Western Balkans is focused on encouraging cooperation between the countries of the region. It is part of a process initiated in Davos by the World Economic Forum.
