Reeker visits the Mjekes Ammunition Plant

The US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State PhilipN Reeker visited the
Explosive Plant in Elbasan, where he saw closely the ammunition
dismantling process and the way how the plant works.
Reeker guaranteed in this meeting the continuity of the projects for further dismantling of excessive ammunition. The US official declared that he feels proud that America has contributed in the demilitarization of Albania regarding the weapons and ammunition inherited by the communist state.
“The destruction of this excessive ammunition makes Albania and the region safer. We are happy that we are partners and that Albania is our NATO ally”, Reeker declared.
The us Deputy Assistant State Secretary bof State visited the Basilica of the Bezistan plane tree, the Saint Mary church and other religious objects in Elbasan.
