Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The United States of America reiterated their support to the
Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, which is intermediated by the European Union,
and valued the technical agreements reached so far.
The US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State appealed the Kosovo and Serbian Prime Ministers to continue dialogue in their efforts to find a long-term solution for Northern Kosovo, and for dismantling the parallel structures.
“The European Union has clearly stated what should be achieved through dialogue, in order to reach normal relations between Kosovo and Serbia. This includes a long term solution for Northern Kosovo and the dismantling of parallel structures”, Reeker declared.
“All this was emphasized in my preferred document, the European Council conclusions. It is very clear what needs to be fulfilled, and the dialogue process from both countries is a good way to realize this”, he declared.
Reeker urged Prime Ministers Thaci and Dacic to make a good use of the first months of 2013, especially for dismantling the parallel structures in north, so that their countries can profit positive EU opinions on time.
