Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future After extending branches throughout Albania and opening others in
the Diaspora, the Red and Black Alliance founded the Red and
Black Women Alliance, organized with the presence of many women from Albania,
Kosovo, Montenegro and Macedonia.
The leader of the Red and Black Women Alliance, Florentina Xheka, declared that RBWA will protect the interests and ideals of women, becoming a precious source of encouragement for all women, so that they can participate in the social-political life of the country.
“Empowering women is not only an objective, but a challenge for building a better life for everyone in Albania. A country’s emancipation cannot be achieved without the energy and potential of women. This potential should be encouraged and supported, for giving a real contribution to all areas”, Xheka declared.
Mrs. Xheka closed her speech by quoting Sami Frasheri:
“Educating a man means planting a tree that casts a big shadow, while educating a woman means planting a tree that casts shadow and produces fruits”.
