Rama: We will defend our votes

SP called this tour “The Forum of Elections”, and started it with the city of Lezhe. Rama called this the main topic of the Socialist Party, aiming to achieve the freedom and to guarantee the Albanians that Berisha and his people will not touch the ballot boxes.

“Many people ask us how we will defend our vote. They forget that this is not about a match between two football teams, and that we must have a strategy to defend our goal. This battle belongs to everyone, because when one party steals the elections and takes power with stolen votes, they don’t need to work for you”, Rama declared.

Rama underlined that despite the new Electoral Code, the most important thing is to have committed people on terrain, who are the real defenders of the vote. Rama explained the surprise of the Prime Minister for the opposition’s concern about the left commissioners that were corrupted.

“We have seen Berisha being saying that how is it possible that the Socialist leader and MPs suspect on their own Socialist commissioners. I respect them; I love them, because they do an excellent job. The truth is that without the left Socialists that were corrupted, Berisha wouldn’t have stayed a single day in the Prime Minister’s Office”, Rama declared.

Prec Zogaj, member of the opposition’s coalition declared that the Electoral Code is not enough. According to him, the vigilance of every opposition member is what is really needed for winning the elections.

“The election issue cannot be resolved without the public, the people. Europe gives us standards, but not elections. Those are up to us. Many efforts were made, and new measures were taken in the last reform to close the manipulations and guarantee the next elections. This is good, but this cannot be solved only from above. The safe elections come from a new culture of people who don’t agree with stolen elections”, Zogaj declared.
