The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, started this week with some
Twitter posts, regarding the current political situation and the reforms
started by the government, which have been constantly criticized by the
opposition.
In the first post that is related to the taxes, Rama says “Those who pay no taxes complain about tax increase. 95% of the Albanian tax-payers pay fewer taxes today than one year ago”.
As for the electricity price, Rama says: “Those who steal electricity complain about its price. The energy price will not increase, but the operation against thieves will be harsher”.
As for the fuel price increase, Rama declared: “Those who do not see their pockets, but the Democratic Party, complain about the price increase. The oil price today is lower than one year ago and it will not be higher”, Rama declared, answering to the opposition which reported a price increase.
“Those who have lost their power are complaining about increased prices. Prices are not higher. On the contrary, there is more consumption”, Rama declared.
Rama commented the actions of the Urban Inspectorate, which has demolished illegal buildings.
“Those who are used to occupy spaces with illegal buildings complain about the Inspectorate. Houses in informal areas will be legalized for free. The illegal buildings in roads will be removed”, Rama declared.
In his last post, Rama says: “We were voted to make a country with a rule of law for the citizens who want order and jobs, not disorder. Employment and well being increase by respecting the rules”.
