The first Socialist Party assembly after May 8th elections was held
today. The Socialist leader, Edi Rama, declared that Sali Berisha has
sent Albania to the most critical point of its relations with the
international community and partners.
Rama underlined that the citizens expect the opposition to remove Albania from the abyss where Berisha’s government has put it, emphasizing that the opposition has responsibilities towards the people.
“We will not give up from our protests, because it will be our way for opposing the government. Our obligation is to extend our communication with the people, in order to clarify the difficult state Berisha has put our country into”, Rama declared.
“We want to prove that the revolt against the evil is our alternative, not our blind force. But we will not give up from the protests against this regime. On the other hand, we will engage to communicate our program to the Albanians. In the Electoral Congress that will be held this autumn, we will design the path towards the great victory. In the next two weeks we will meet with our leadership all over the country, and we will gather to discuss in our assembly”, Rama declared.
Referring to the critics, the head of the opposition added that changing powers doesn’t mean that a right centered thief will be replaced by a left centered thief.
“We are different and we will prove this”, Rama declared.
