Prime Minister Edi Rama said Albania proposed the creation of a common regional market in the Balkans during the Vienna Summit, valuing the opportunity given to the region by German Chancellor Angela Merkel since the start of the Berlin process.
“Our ideas for a common regional market and a regional bank have gained full support. These two proposals would help the region improve free movement of people and goods in the region”, Rama said during e press conference.
Speaking about the infrastructure and energy projects discussed in Vienna, Rama confirmed the Adriatic-Ionian highway has been made a priority project from EU, while the Nish-Prishtinë-Durrës highway, called “The Peace Road” from Serbia, has also gained support.
Rama also emphasized the importance of the campaign against informality due to start tomorrow; stressing big companies will be the main target. The hot topic of the latest days, the demolition of an orthodox church in Dhërmi, Rama insisted the government will build there a copy of the original church and reminded Greece once again not to interfere on an internal matter of Albania.
