Rama: “We gave funds for the Mosque and Big Tekke\”

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, wished a happy Bayram to the
Bektashi Muslim. He met with the Bektashi leaders at their main mosque,
his first visit after the government’s decision to fund the works that
had been delayed for years in the Bektashi Tekke.

With a reviewed budget for the expropriation of the land where the new Mosque of Namazgja will be built, the government gave funds for the Bektashi funds, who couldn’t finish the project with their own money.

For Rama, the government support for the Mosque and the Tekke brings to an end the long and difficult years for the Muslim believers.

“It is important to give a chance to the Bektashi community for having this Tekke, at last. Baba Reshati wanted this. We are also giving the Muslim Community a new Mosque. These are two precious things for this Bayram. What remains now is for you to conclude and then enjoy it”, Rama declared.

Although communism made several religious signs disappear, some of them have remained near the Tekke of the Bektashi.
